POSTAL STRIKE WILL BE YET ANOTHER NAIL IN THE COFFIN OF ROYAL MAIL

21/06/07 | 19:55

Natalie Evans, Head of Policy at the British Chambers of Commerce, said:

"Any postal strike will weaken further businesses reliance upon Royal Mail and will act as another nail in its coffin as more competition arrives. "

Recent research conducted by the BCC found many of our members are already dismayed at the service received from Royal Mail following the introduction of Pricing In Proportion. Less than 1 per cent noted any improvement to their service from Royal Mail since its implementation.

This new postal strike will act as a further spur to small businesses to adopt e-commerce, which will mean less mail " .
